I hate to do this, but look at Putin's speech in January of 2009... Obama coming into office. The financial collapse requiring a solution. War budgets - timid as they were by today's standards - still alarmingly on the rise. windowstorussia.com/from-rus… We are in a serious moment.

Now would be a great time to enact this, as the next round of COVID illnesses & death is just around the corner. Vaccines, boosters, treatments could be available to all and not just to the select few who "breath rarified air".

It's good business too. Companies would save a TON of money, which could go to higher wages, expansion, etc. It'd reduce sick days, boost production & GDP. Household spending & investment would rise. It'd be the greatest economic stimulus in decades.

If we survive climate catastrophe, amirite.
