Pelosi is being strategic, and the Democratic Party isn't a cult, in stark difference to the GQP. I know it's hard to look away from the shiny object, but you could at least try to see the whole picture every now and then.

To the extent that the Democrats "had some values," it has always been because they feared the 99%. FDR said to the Nat'l Assn of Manufacturers, "Reform, if you would save yourselves." True of the Dem Party, as well.
