Isn’t that kind of like saying that if we legalize marijuana it’s unfair to the people who had to serve time when it was illegal?

This doesn’t solve the problem. Dems have become the party of economic illiterates.

They took the LOAN. Now they need to play it back. What is this PPP?

You disappoint me Marianne. Why should the large majority of tax payers pay for schooling of a small number of people. You know most student debt is graduate school too? It is such an unfair proposal and the Dems will pay at the polls for it. You are hyping horrible policy

"It's clear that the opponents of student loan cancellation are living in a bubble" ... 99.7% of borrowers did not get an Ivy League degree ... Heck, 40% of them didn't get any degree at all ... The majority of these loans are held by people with zero wealth"

I started paying my student loan for graduate school (acupuncture) in 2001. Still paying now.

Yellen is basically saying it's a bad idea..she mentioned "tradeoffs" and that is coming from an employee. If Yellen was still in the fed she would comment what most economists would say.

What if people and bad government policies are responsible for dangerous wild fires, not climate change?

And then what happens next year, you have to do it again or it would be inequitable, ad infinitum. Now college is free, taxes go up considerably on all Americans 2 pay for many already rich priveleged kids 2 become even more priveleged on the backs of the working poor
