If the rich saw how the poor live in America, there would be more compassion. If the poor saw how the rich live in America, there would be more rage.

When the tax system is fair and corporations are regulated appropriately, then yes. But neither is now true.

Not sure how the tax system and corp regs keeps a person from dreaming big, working hard and rising up out of poverty. America is full of first time family members to graduate from HS, college, home owners and entrepreneurs. We need large corp. to give scholarships etc to help.

Poor don’t pay taxes. Have they worked, sacrificed, borrowed $? It’s hard. Started at $15k a year. Not Elon rich but quite comfortable. I lost $300,000 on my retirement this month. Why did we work and sacrifice for 45 years to lose it to the money changers, pay half to taxes?

authors should be taxed at 200% percent for spreading disinformation

Then tell your side to vote for a flat sales tax. Everyone pays their share on an equal percentage.

Come on, you don’t believe that! You mean if they tax 95% of the billionaires wealth then suddenly people who are scrubbing the floors and digging the ditches are gonna be happy about it? Schadenfreude does not a happy population make.

This I agree with. The issue isn't "how the rich live", per se. It's about the same opportunity being available to those currently "below" them financially to climb that ladder themselves. Capitalism in it's true form allows for FAIR competition. We do not have that in the U.S.

The rich just approved BILLIONS in funding to Ukraine in days but took months to send Americans $1200! They know they don’t care because without a lower class they would have no upper class

Respectfully, the only American dream left is escape.
The tax "system" is not fair and additionally does not cover the government's unchecked spending anyway, if "that" was required of any said-to-be-fair system.
I love how THIS is the comment you reply to, not any of the ones telling you how wrong you are
