I grew up very poor rural KY. No education, nor my parents. I know how to be poor. Poor is resewing your 1 pair of shoes yourself 20 times. Poor is eating everyone’s peas at lunch. Poor is making your clothes from old clothes. No cable TV, no phone. Growing/canning food. Fishing.
