If the rich saw how the poor live in America, there would be more compassion. If the poor saw how the rich live in America, there would be more rage.

I think we have mislabeled sociopathic evil as ignorance for too long already.

No. A lot of rich people don鈥檛 care how the poor live. Central to their concept of self is the (incorrect) notion that they鈥檙e rich b/c they鈥檙e better/work harder than everyone else & therefore deserve their wealth. The flip side is that poor people are somehow deficient or lazy.

When the rich see how the poor live in America, they think, "What losers. Instead of taking care of their health and education needs, I can use their money much more effectively to take care of my own."

Hey did you know there used to be a show called Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. There are several shows about wealthy people buying real estate. We have an idea of how you all live.

The problem is most rich people assume it's your fault, whether you're poor or successful. They can't empathize with the poor, even if they've been poor because society taught them that success and failure are not influenced by government, environment, or chance.

The rich have seen how poor the poor are & they want NO part of it. They treat the poor like a contagious disease they 'll catch by parting w/ some of their $$$ to help the poor. As if giving some of their wealth will make them poor. Unless they can get a tax break for it.
