If the rich saw how the poor live in America, there would be more compassion. If the poor saw how the rich live in America, there would be more rage.

I read something last week that shared how Denmark & some other countries let you “check out” 30 mins of time talking with people at the public libraries — these people all have labels (Buddhist, gay, veteran etc) and you can learn about their experiences this way ❤️ I love this

The poor in this country don’t need compassion from the rich, they need living wages, med care, affordable housing/college etc etc etc. The rich will make sure it never happens.

The poor do see how the rich live, most don't give a shit. Most are just worried about being able to feed their families. You don't know a lot of poor people, do you?

First of all THEY DO SEE HOW THE POOR LIVE IN AMERICA. They just don't care. Please don't make them seem more compassionate than they actually are. Also, the poor DO see how the rich live. THE RICH CAN'T SHUT UP ABOUT IT. The rich have stolen so much and restitution is due.

This reminds me of how mirror neurons work and that people need to see it to believe it’s possible for them, from someone they relate to enough. Many issues we face today perpetuated by disempowering, divisive content. People are getting more of what they “see.”

That's not how capitalism works.
