In the real world - the workplace, the grocery store, the daycare center, the senior housing complex, the hardware store - people are polite to each other. It's only the capitalist narrative that thrives on brainwashing us that we're all full of hate for each other

Just wondering ifUthink kindness is•as•natural a state for the species as is aggression? Sociobiologically, is empathy-inducing oxytocin as impactful on men as is testosterone: especially in the young whoRour great competitors, warriors, criminals, presidents, judges, fathers?🧐

Kindness is how I start my day. It help generate a positive environment.

My kindness depends on the behavior of the person I'm dealing with. Be an asshole and I'll be a bigger asshole. Be kind and I'll be kind.

This is a nice principle & I'm always grateful for such nudges Alas, the tail risks of things most likely to cause existential catastrophie won't be nudged by this We need to remove risks of nuclear winter, catastrophic AGI, engineered pandemics, & tail end climatic risks

Hi Marianne! Have you seen this video? It's by a German commentator (among other accomplishments), Jessica Berlin ( @berlin_bridge). It's a fantastic, inspirational, aspirational, and *useful* TED talk on empathy. I think you'd enjoy it. youtube.com/vi91VI71Nj8
