"Abolishing the filibuster is not radical," said the advocacy group Public Citizen. "What's radical is watching anti-abortion, anti-trans, and voter suppression legislation sweep the nation and doing nothing to stop it."

Establishment Dems are demonstrating both who they are and who they are aligned with .... with a catalogue of failures that always comes down against their political base of support. It's time for third parties and strong candidates, like @marwilliamson. @dnc @dccc @dscc

So why stay within the Democratic party again? Why not work on the outside and push for 3rd parties?

The 10th Amendment to the US Constitution says that any issue not SPECIFICALLY mentioned in the Const is reserved for the states. Abortion is not mentioned in the Const. (Yes, there were abort when the Constit was written.) That is why, per the Const, abort is a state issue. 1/

The Constit also does not mention marriage. That is why marr laws, per the 10th Am, are made by the states. The Const does not mention police powers. That is why, per the 10th Am, state & local govts est police forces, not the fed govt. There are many examples of this. End/

Let's face it, the Democratic party is just another wing of the Republican Party. We need a progressive party that will fight for the vast majority of Americans. The do nothing Democrats will never save us from the vile Republicans.
