I've noticed in my life that when I've felt hopeless and like I couldn't go on, the people who've said "Oh get over yourself and toughen up!" have actually done more for me than those who however well intentioned probably let me stay on the phone too long describing my despair.

That’s what my narcissist mother did to me. Invalidates every single feeling I ever had. Some folks need different things from friends.

You’re literally doing the same thing invalidating my experience and feelings. Don’t tell me what to do. I hope you’re more kind and conscious with the people in your life.
I have healthy boundaries and know what I need and what works for me. People who ever, in any way, tell me to “get over it” are not my friend and Don not have my best interest at heart. Its ableist and cruel.

I have healthy boundaries and I know what works for me too. There have still been times when people telling me to get over myself, to have greater perspective and to toughen up has been compassionate and supportive and what I needed at the time.

Do you have CPTSD? Are you autistic? You are not me. Your childhood informed your abilities and what works for you. Again. I am not you. Nor are you me. I am not telling you in a condescending way how to better your life why are you doing that to me?
