I wonder if certain Democratic ex-presidents aren’t sometimes haunted in the middle of the night thinking “Damn I should’ve done this” or “Damn I should’ve done that.“ Like maybe tonight.

Nope. Their thoughts are still about their legacy and why not enough people voted for them after they failed to do the things they promised to do. Self reflection is not within their abilities.
