I assume you're referring to the way enable the poor and homeless to continue to be poor and homeless by encouraging their terrible choices, even funding them.
How did a so-called Christian nation transition so seamlessly from “help the poor” to “help the rich?”

The vast majority of America's poor are NOT poor because of "terrible choices." They're poor because of a system that routinely locks them out, through poor education, poor health care, and consistent support for those who exploit them at the workplace. Can you not see that?
