How did a so-called Christian nation transition so seamlessly from “help the poor” to “help the rich?”

When was it help the poor? That must have been some propaganda you’ve been swallowing

Because they’re not really Christians.

OR worse yet, help yourself. We’ve lost humbleness, humility, compassion, and how to be the woman at the well and the Good Samaritan. The selfish self absorption leaves me baffled

It was never about helping the poor. Poverty makes politicians wealthy. War makes politicians wealthy. The pandemic made them all wealthy. It’s always about the Elite and how to make more off of the peasants.

Because of the lie of supply side economics

that's simple we stopped being a Christian Nation decades ago. we have mostly larping Christians running our country now. this is the consequence of progressive Christianity like Hillsong and Joel Osteen.

I watched this program about a movement amongst the US Christian sect that believed that God wants man to be healthy & wealthy; therefore, accummulating wealth was a virtuous endeavor because it's sanctioned by God. Well, I think this notion got taken a bit too far in America.

It happened when it stopped bothering us that our "leaders" instantly became fantastically wealthy as a direct result of their office. People don't think it's weird that Obama is now incredibly wealthy. They just think it's normal that he stabbed us in the back and sold us out.
