How did a so-called Christian nation transition so seamlessly from “help the poor” to “help the rich?”

our govt got taken over by corrupt people influenced by corporate america and most importantly the military industrial complex combined with government agency's stopping any type of change or movement for justice. Time is running out for the older generation power control.

The anti-establishment movement of the 1960s invested itself in Academia and mocked the patriotic blue collar class. So now, subsequent generations of the movement ARE the establishment elite with no connection to the working folk.
