The US has far and away the highest poverty rate out of 26 development nations plus we’re basically the only one without universal healthcare & either free or very inexpensive higher education. Show up at every event for every midterm election and ask each candidate why that is.

Yes and no. The House passed the Build Back Better plan and only two Democratic senators voted against it. That was a lot of people who voted FOR something that would have dramatically altered the lives of millions of people for the better. Every GOP legislator voted against it.

But, in all fairness, there are devastating consequences to non-stop spending. Imagine how high inflation would be if a few more trillion would have been spent. (This doesn’t ok previous wastes of $ either) That would further effect everyday Americans.

I do think we should stop the non-stop spending! - SUCH AS: $813B defense budget; 2017 $2T tax cut that gave 83 cents of every $ to the richest people and corporations; and corporate subsidies like this one: coal, oil, and natural gas received $5.9 trillion in subsidies in 2020!

Unfortunately, whether what you mention is right or wrong...BBB was still way too expensive for our economy to handle right now.

Worse inflation (bad for Americans) Larger debt (bad for Americans) Besides, what’s in the bill? Is everything in it good for Americans? We have to get fiscally responsible.
