You don't know how this situation may have escalated. Resisting arrest is dangerous. Shoplifting suspects get their day in court. God help us when the police - who were attempting to enforce the law - are demonized and enforcing our laws is optional..

Reminds me of my brother in Kennewick, WA. The police were called heroes. He had no gun. It's classified as homicide. They got to BBQ with their families with pay and no repercussions. I have no brother. As an RN...I lost a lot of family that day. My heart goes out to his family.
