Shocking to me how many people say "Absolutely not!" about their tax dollars paying for someone else being educated, but didn't seem to have too much of a problem with their tax dollars paying to bomb someone else to smithereens. What do you think our tax dollars go towards now??

USA runs more like a company than a country. War is an investment that’s paid big dividends so far. Education? Not so much and it can be easily outsourced for an H1-b visa.

It's insane. Half of the budget is towards defense. The only country in the world that has so many enemies :) I wonder why... "Education? What for?"

Democrats seemed determined to make the working class shift to republicans permanent. Having mechanics and truck drivers pay debts for people that out earn them is really dumb politics.

Our tax dollars are already being used to pay to educate people. The Pell grant does that. Why should we pay more? When does personal responsibility begin for people that voluntarily borrowed money and promised to pay it back?
