The idea that I suffered therefore you should suffer too, when the truth of the matter is that neither of you should have ever had to suffer since financial institutions were just making billions of dollars off your suffering, is a feeling I don’t understand. #CancelStudentDebt

All you cancel student debt folks can pay it off. I’m sure you all can afford it. I’m not paying it.

It’s not about suffering. It’s paying for the ‘product’ you bought. It’s honoring your financial commitments. It’s giving this huge break to some that others will not get, simply because of timing. Better to revamp the student loan system.

When rich kids from rich families decide to go to expensive schools which give many millions every year to coaches while their assistants can barely get minimum wage, then rich students pay their own way.

It’s not that..it’s that those that can prove they paid should be reimbursed and the real issue of skyrocket tuition needs to be addressed or we’ll be here in another 10 years.

You signed the document and knew the contents, don’t whine afterwards when you don’t like it! Pay your debts!

It’s more about equity for those that sacrificed and budgeted. I can’t help those that didn’t plan well and now expect tax payers including those that never went to college to bail them out.

Truth is you can’t punish some and help others. If student debt is cancelled, those who paid need retroactive tax credits at minimum of equal amount.

2. They are offering students the opportunity to get a loan and pay for “membership tickets” to the football games! I know this because it was offered to my son currently in university!

Why is the debate to eliminate all student debt or do nothing? How about re-computing all student loans as if the original interest rate was the prime rate at the time + .1%? If that amount is already paid, you're done, but if not, you pay a lesser amount going forward.
