The idea that I suffered therefore you should suffer too, when the truth of the matter is that neither of you should have ever had to suffer since financial institutions were just making billions of dollars off your suffering, is a feeling I don’t understand. #CancelStudentDebt

1.This is not why i am opposed to canceling student debt! I am oposed because this doesn’t address the issue that created this problem! The issue is giving loans and security to the universities that the loans were going to be paid has increased prices!

They think because they suffered they turned out fine, when in fact they are not fine. No one should suffer.

Marianne, you’re wealthy. Why don’t you and the other multimillionaires advocating loan forgiveness pool you’re fortunes and cancel the loans. Personally, I paid for my college myself. I don’t want my tax dollars subsidizing others. Also, how fair is it to the working man.

Are they going to extend that to my honor roll daughter who I can’t afford to send? This idea is absurd and unfair. Period!

Why not just force all colleges/universities to be free of cost? Make the finance companies release the debt instead. Make them absorb the cost of the loans.

the distinction is debt holders signed a contract and now that the lender and school have fulfilled their duties the borrowers want taxpayers to fulfill theirs. average income of debt holders is $30,000 above the national average and $50,000 above the median. enough to pay up.

The idea that the left is either so ignorant or so dishonest as to claim that debt of any kind just vanishes by government proclamation is a concept I don't understand.

No. The Federal government colludes with colleges to lend 100% of tuition no matter how fast the schools raise it. Program is a scam.

Amen! Reparations for people who have already paid student loans! Say it louder Marianne!
