The idea that I suffered therefore you should suffer too, when the truth of the matter is that neither of you should have ever had to suffer since financial institutions were just making billions of dollars off your suffering, is a feeling I don’t understand. #CancelStudentDebt

Don’t take the loans if you cannot pay it back. It is that simple. Responsibility

This is what is at the heart of the GOP - they want everyone to suffer like they FEEL they do - there is no compassion for someone else only a desire for others to be worse off - meanwhile those in charge get richer off all the suffering #GOPHypocrisy

Why are the universities so expensive? Why not demand all professors make public school teacher salaries, and students eat out of public school style cafeterias? The financial institutions are not setting the tuition fees.

Exactly. When the hell will people wake up and realize who the real enemy is? Here’s a clue: it ain’t your neighbor. It’s the very few who make billions getting you to fight your neighbor.

Marianne, I refer you to a novelty called contract law.I signed a contract for a school loan, profited through this loan, paid this loan back in accordance to its terms. You are making me the bad person for fulfilling my contractual obligations and paying my loan. Shameful!

Alleviating the “suffering” of thousands of middle class people is not a justification for increasing the burden of millions of poor people who will have to suffer the economic consequences of your fiscal recklessness.

It’s not I suffered so you should too. It’s YOU made an irresponsible choice for yourself and your future that I shouldn’t have to pay for. Now if you want to talk about abolishing easy federal loans then sure, I agree.
