Short of calling for violence, people should be able to say whatever they want to say and read whatever they want to read.

There's a very real effort on the right to take us back 60 years and trying to attack education ,voting rights, even our energy resources. What shocks and saddens me is they make progress and we don't. Which tells me the people on our side don't believe in what they speak.

I would be very careful here. Maybe you are considering some kinds of speech violence. There are somethings that people can say that are not calling for violence but the words are violence themselves.

I agree but there's always exceptions that go too Someone standing in the middle of a public park yelling out profanities with children standing all around you can call that freedom of speech but it ain't right

People should not be able to tell lies with impunity.

The fact that many people in the comments section were bothered by what you said is troublesome. They have no concept of freedom. The reality is that all you said was that all legal speech should be allowed & that people should be allowed to choose what they want to read. 🤷‍♂️

In a world where misinformation and more importantly misinterpretation is the catalyst for that violence, I disagree. Simplifying things is the hip thing

What counts as calling for violence? Trade deals, mass layoffs, selling land?

I'm pretty sure people shouldn't be able to say the N word but okay
