SCOTUS ruled 5-4 last week to reinstate Trump era policy that strips the Clean Water Act of power to protect freshwater rivers & lakes. CWA protected us from corporations dumping agents known to cause cancer, disease & nerve damage. This is the meaning of a corporatist court.

Next time someone says "But how could you vote for a Democrat when there's really no difference between the parties?", point to this. There is definitely not ENOUGH difference, but there is a difference - and SCOTUS picks is a big one.

For those who aren't familiar with the case, basically what it says is that a State or Tribe can't overrule the federal govt. on something like a pipeline.

This court needs to be expanded if we hope for a somewhat balanced body. Right now, IMO, it does not operate in the way we (from our founders and the majorities in past generations and now) expected and revered as honorable and having integrity in their interpretations.

I can’t imagine the argument that could have led to this. I can’t believe a human being today, could conclude it’s ok not to protect our water- Today. Drought stricken. Water endangered. Rich, under taxed Corporations. Can’t they at least take care of our water?
