2/ - education, culture, good food, health care, the arts. If we made those things our priority investments, within 10 years a majority of our societal dysfunctions would disappear.

One fundamental principle is living within one's means. Hamilton said debt is fine as long as there is a means to pay it back. Massively overextended debt of the US will have a very real backlash on the poorest, namely the rise of the prices of all goods and services.

I gave my son everything he needed to thrive, but the most important thing I taught him was how to thrive without needing me. Furthermore, government is not my parent, I am their customer. I demand absolute minimal services and extremely low cost.
