In England there is the Aristocracy and the Working- Class, who live a restrictive existence: understanding that they should be content with their lot in life. The U.S. as I have known it, was free with a great deal of upward mobility- in short the American Dream. What happened?

I'm German. I think, the situation here would look similar to the US' if we only had two parties. A multi-party system is a sign of a healthy democracy and is the result of the effort of people that expect more. I truly believe, Americans should start working on building options.
