Joy Ann Reid asked Elizabeth Warren whether there wasn’t a “moral hazard” involved in cancelling the student debt. But the moral hazard was making the attainment of a higher education such a weight on the back of people simply trying to better themselves to begin with.

So taxpayers should foot the bill? Clearly college isn’t a path to high paying jobs. There are cheaper, more effective ways to gain skillsets for success. Suggesting bandaids rather than solutions for our failure to keep up is why our visionaries often come from other countries

So twisted, impressive tho.

What about the guy who bought a work truck with a loan and went into the trades to learn a skill instead of college? Why forgive the loans of the elite students and not other workers who took a different path to learn skills and took on loans for gainful employment?

You are probably right Marianne, but people need to adhere to their responsibility of commitment. The deal is if you borrow, you must study hard, get a job, & pay your debts. Enough of the “throw-away” mentality, (debts, marriage, fetuces, electronics, etc)…

The colleges and universities charge outrageously high tuitions, yet they get to keep the money and taxpayers have to pay off student loans? How about the colleges and universities lower tuition and let them help pay it off.

Joy Reid is a fraud. It's sickening that we have virtually no one to turn to in all of media to get a true, realistic, and adult perspective.

I disagree. Paying debts for rich kids who flunk out of school, with rich parents who cheer their schools to hike tuition for football or basketball coaches to millions per year per coach and then want low wage workers to pay the debt. Now that might be a moral dilemma.
