The Overton window has moved so far to the right that corporate Democrats are what Eisenhower Republicans were when I was growing up. I hope the center shifts back in my lifetime.

I really don’t think the center has shifted much in the last fifty years. I do believe that democrats and republicans are gravitating to opposite ends of the spectrum. Corporate Democrats have always been akin to Eisenhower Republicans and Wallace Democrats are now Republican.

I’ve always called corporate dems Country Club Republicans from the 1960s. These people are neither liberal nor progressive.
