The Overton window has moved so far to the right that corporate Democrats are what Eisenhower Republicans were when I was growing up. I hope the center shifts back in my lifetime.

Eisenhower Republicans had a 90% top marginal tax rate, Corporate Democrats oppose increasing the top tax rate at all. Corporate Democrats are more conservative than Eisenhower Republicans.

You're delusional. JFK, Phillip "Tip" O'Neill Jr, Patrick , Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Hubwrt Humphrey, and LBJ not to mention dozens of others would be unwelcome in today's D party, too conservative.

What you're witnessing isn't a right/ left dichotomy, it's simply being revealed that "corporate" democrats and Republicans are the same animal serving the same masters. The issue is authoritarian v libertarian. And even the non corporate left have been revealed as authoritarian.

The spectrum of ideas on public policy and social issues considered acceptable by the general public have shifted so far to the Right ... It's like we have two Republican parties!
