Exactly so. There is little mention of economics in the Dec of Ind & the Constitution, but there is a lot of Enlightenment ideas re liberty & the pursuit of happiness. For too many decades in this new Gilded Age the only thing that matters is money, Wall St & corporate profit.

Captured by corporate stockholder interest, profit. Benefits to communities & sustainable living is optional & coincidental. Profits matter more.

We need a hybrid of Capitalism n Socialism, Marianne, just like u mentioned the other day. I think that's the best way to ameliorate the negative impact of Capitalism!

We really need to focus on the #ClimateCrisis as there won't be an economic system in the future (nor any Humans) if we don't address that.
