On top of all the demands and lack of support is LOW pay. South Carolina legislature doesn't want to raise the minimum teaching salary from $ 36, 000 a year. Shameful!!!!
So important - my mom鈥檚 been a teacher for 20 years and has never seen so many students in her 5th grade class that simply can鈥檛 read - or so many students with health issues than now, two years into the pandemic - she and her other veteran teachers feel so helpless
