A government’s role should be to help people thrive – to support their dreams, not thwart their dreams. Every American should grow up feeling that their country is setting them up to succeed. What we have right now is completely upside down.

Every American has free access to K-12 education. There is a viable and functioning safety net for those in poverty. The elderly have SS and Medicare. We are not "completely upside down" on these issues. Thank a Democrat.

If we have a “viable & functioning” safety net, why are half a million people homeless? If SS & Medicare are enough, why are one in four Americans not able to pay for prescription drugs that have been prescribed to them by their doctor? Why are 17 million children hungry?

It's not the government's duty to provide a cradle to grave basic quality of life for everyone. Socialism doesn't work. Robust social programs are best funded in Democratic capitalist societies. Vote Democrat, be wary of socialists who disdain Centrists and promise the moon.

“Robust social programs are best funded in Democratic capitalist societies.” Simply not true. They are best funded in places with hybrid systems like the Scandinavian countries, Iceland etc.

Republicans are why we can’t have nice things.

17 million children hungry…20 million people in the country illegally. Do the math.
Homelessness is far more a result of bad border policy than bad economic policy. Homelessness has nothing to do with poverty.
Sadly, this is often the juncture where one compares the country to 3rd world nations 'it could be worse' rather than accept that the richest country in history is completely skewed in favor of the richest. We first have to admit there's a problem born of both parties 😢. #hope
