A government’s role should be to help people thrive – to support their dreams, not thwart their dreams. Every American should grow up feeling that their country is setting them up to succeed. What we have right now is completely upside down.

Who set you up to succeed, if no one can succeed? We have a guaranteed right to pursue happiness, but nowhere does it say govt. must roll out a golden carpet for everyone. Just can’t run a country with freebies for all.
“57% of Americans cannot pay a $500 bill. 78% say they live paycheck to paycheck. It is not realistic to expect people to be politically functional if they are dealing with scarcity day-to-day. We need to secure people’s futures with UBI to move forward.” -@AndrewYang

I agree. And I think the political polarization has contributed greatly to it.

In the wild, hippos keep lions in check. Giraffes too will check a lion. And elephants? The way we keep a check on apex predator humans is via our social democracy system. The predators dismantled the system used to suppress their sickness. That needs to change, yet again.

It’s always gonna be upside down. Our country as a whole has become entitled and we don’t know spiritual values. Instead we’re taught to hate other religions and peoples because they’re inferior .

And ultimately, thriving citizens make the country thrive. This is a no Brainer.

Government is not only hampering dreams they are trying to define dreams for people and what is acceptable - govt is way to involved in the direction people go and options they have vs supporting the ability to succeed and making a fair playing field
