The call to #CancelStudentDebt is getting louder and louder. Other advanced nations make higher education either free or very inexpensive. So should we.
“Canceling college loan debt is a way to clean the slate. If anything, we should pay ppl to get an education.” @marwilliamson at DC Rally to #CancelStudentDebt on how when she was growing up, parents could afford to send their kids to college.

Student debt not only SHOULD be cancelled, all the ill gotten gains of the last 4 decades of student loan debt should be repaid. That still does not right the decades of indebtedness this scam has enforced upon a large portion of our population. Note: I never had a college loan.
An advanced Nation wouldn't have this issue. But you're on point.

But which student loans? Community colleges or Ivy League? Better to finance a basic income to everybody!!! Universal Basic Income can pay for school, and replace/minimize school loans and is perfectly fair for all. UBI > than student loan debt.

We need to also look at the underlying costs of an educational - they are way to high and people in the system are abusing it. That said college should be much more financially accessible - including free public college IMHO.

No debt forgiveness without an accompanying taxation on university endowments. Why let those who made $$$ from this mess get off scot free?
