For 40 years the US govt has sold out its people & the people of the world, squandering our moral authority, betraying our values, offering its weight to a toxic strain of capitalism and a bankrupt neoliberal experiment. There’s only one righteous response: We’ve got to fix that.

As somebody who researches inequality, urban planning, hunger, etc., please allow me to suggest the US has been "selling out" its people for way longer than 40 years.
