True. I would say every politician including @POTUS. 80% of drug arrests are for possession. Blacks are more likely to be arrested for drug possession while drug use is equal across the races. The war on drugs was a cover for the war on Black and Brown people.
The War on Drugs began as a political hoax created by Richard Nixon as an act of political theatre. It has caused more suffering and death than the drugs themselves could have ever caused. Shame on every president since who didn’t have the nerve to say so.

Black people use drugs at the same rate as white people, but far more often have their homes raided for drugs and are statistically given prison sentences that are 20% longer.
