A government whose solution to almost every problem is to drill for more more oil, fill more prisons, make the rich richer, or sell more weapons is not a government that solves our problems; it is a government that perpetually creates them.

% of people in extreme poverty and in ordinary poverty falls every decade since the early XIX century. We are not doing as bad as some people make it seem. Everyone's getting richer, not only the 1%.
