To me the most enlightened economies are hybrids of socialism and capitalism, as in certain Scandinavian countries.

We don't need capitalism, capitalism needs us. There's no reason it should be saved, just relegated to the dustbin of failed history.

I believe we will be forced,by nature herself, into local communities - sharing our resources-- not only will it save us from climate change but it will create a whole new way to live in community thelocalrevolution.org

Countries in the imperialist bloc just export most of their hyper-exploitation to the global south while providing their domestic workers with a handful of benefits. This isn't an "enlightened system", this is barbarism by way of a rigidly enforced global division of labor.

It’s the combination of capital and labor that creates wealth and they should share equally in the fruits of this wealth, as long as it’s not the case there will be class struggle!

Remind me where the Scandinavian countries got their resources from?

I agree. 100% capitalist economy has never existed.

Scandinavian countries are social democracies, i.e. capitalist.
