To me the most enlightened economies are hybrids of socialism and capitalism, as in certain Scandinavian countries.

Very perceptive This means we are going to see more unionization in the US blessed covertly by the American capitalist class. But the flip side is also there. Unionization can also lead to workers militancy and the emergence of a Marxist movement.
