For the rest of the world, the most dangerous things about American foreign-policy in the modern era have been our reckless behavior in Iraq, Afghanistan and even Ukraine. For us, the most dangerous thing is our continuous refusal to look back at our mistakes & learn from them.

They aren't mistakes. They served exactly the purpose they were meant to by those who orchestrated them. Terrible things don't just happen, people make them happen.
