For the rest of the world, the most dangerous things about American foreign-policy in the modern era have been our reckless behavior in Iraq, Afghanistan and even Ukraine. For us, the most dangerous thing is our continuous refusal to look back at our mistakes & learn from them.

I agree, but they were not mistakes. They were crimes and the perpetrators were never held accountable. For this, there was never a form of reckoning with a true historic record. This makes it pretty difficult to authentically approach the world with a voice of moral high ground.

And just absolute silence over afghan women losing all of their rights, afghan girls being banned from education since august, and afghan people being brutalized by the t-ban. Our fake leaders are not speaking up because everything is about winning the next election. No truth.
And why do you think that is? Could it be an extremely efficient propaganda machine backed by an air tight consensus of elites? 👇
Thomas Frank: there's a coming together of elites that we've never seen in our lifetimes. An air tight consensus behind the Democrats, it includes the intelligence agencies and now it's fully in charge. #aghastitude

Most ppl only slightly pay attention to wars the US lost in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, because they could fight back. For each of those there have been a dozen immoral wars against smaller countries.
