For the rest of the world, the most dangerous things about American foreign-policy in the modern era have been our reckless behavior in Iraq, Afghanistan and even Ukraine. For us, the most dangerous thing is our continuous refusal to look back at our mistakes & learn from them.

Finding empathy is important, too. Cost of USA crusade: 5k USA troops KIA, 32k maimed, 1 million Iraq/Afghanistan lost souls (incl 25k kids), a million orphans, 2 million refugees, enough money squandered to bequeeth reliable & efficient infrastructure for several generations.

Since our Government changes every four years, there's no continuity in many of our Policies ... In other words, we don't seem to learn from our mistakes ... we keep repeating them!
