There are 7 “centibillionaires” in the US worth $100 billion or more. Each of them can: Give every teacher in America an $8000 raise for 5 years, or wipe out all US medical debt, or provide shelter for every homeless person in America. A billionaire tax should be a no-brainer.

If we taxed wealth (that which is taken out of the engine of production) Instead of taxing capital (that which is put into the engine of production) we wouldn't have this. The government created parasite billionaires the same way it created parasite poor people. Through policy.

No. A no brainer is preventing elected officials from capitalizing on their inside information by making stock purchases. Wonder how many laws or regulations or even wars would be avoided by banning this practice
