Not holding people accountable for assault is not "taking the high road." The high road would be demonstrating to millions of kids who watched it on TV that they'd be held accountable for physical assault on a person, no matter the reason & no matter how rich & powerful they are.

The only rich and powerful people who are held accountable have an abundance of melanin. Deserved or not. In the USA, the wealthiest individuals are taxed about 3% in taxes while paying their employees to defund the IRS so they'll never have to pay even that. The golden rule
