Not holding people accountable for assault is not "taking the high road." The high road would be demonstrating to millions of kids who watched it on TV that they'd be held accountable for physical assault on a person, no matter the reason & no matter how rich & powerful they are.

Be honest, you were kinda turned on by a man smacking some dude who publicly made fun of his wife鈥檚 physical condition. Am I right?

What's the purpose of assault laws? Isn't it about generally trying to cause serious harm? I think we've gradually broadened the definition too broadly, Chris Rock was 100% fine, nothing hurt but his ego. I don't think this kinda thing rises to the level of legal involvement.

Kinda like holding those who assaulted our Congress on 6 Jan 2021, right? Gotta hold those people accountable...oh, wait.. But apparently Chris Rock declined to pursue assault charges, and if the DA went ahead, Chris Rock probably wouldn't agree to participate. Love your work!
