That one incident wasn't great, but all in all the Oscars was very touching tonight. It's too rare now that we get to celebrate and appreciate the wonderful things that people are doing. Without the artists among us, I don't know how we would make it through these times.

A good day for Puerto Rico, when we have had a lot of sadness lately. Only two Latinas have ever won acting Oscars, both are Puerto Rican, both in the disaspora, both playing Anita in West Side Story. congratulations to Ariana DeBose and Rita Moreno

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Will Smith lost my respect. And Chris Rock handled it as professionally as anyone could. There should be consequences for assaulting someone like that.

Seriously, Marianne? A man was assaulted on live TV, then the perpetrator, instead of being removed and arrested, was awarded an Oscar. AND THEN THE AUDIENCE GAVE HIM A STANDING OVATION. If you don’t find the implications of this beyond disturbing, then I’m floored.

Physical assault on National TV and I don’t know how we’d get through these times?? That’s your take? Ok kids… if your in school and someone hurts your feelings you may now get out of your seat and hit or slap them and then go sit back down! Oh… and then you’ll get a trophy

Agreed about artists. But it wasnt just an " incident", it was a misdemeanor assault on live TV and a multimillionaire got away with it and walked home with an Oscar.

No, a physical assault at a nationally televised event is not great.

for those of us who’ve serviced domestic violence it was a horrible moment - and then he won! so upsetting.
