That one incident wasn't great, but all in all the Oscars was very touching tonight. It's too rare now that we get to celebrate and appreciate the wonderful things that people are doing. Without the artists among us, I don't know how we would make it through these times.

Ms Inconsistency strikes again! Kind of like one little war by Russia shouldn't put a damper on all their culture....do you use an 8-ball for your opinions?

I made it through these times just fine with out these people. Never saw any of the movies, let alone heard of them. There is actually a real world out there to enjoy, rather than watch a bunch of fake people.

Wasn’t great? It was insane and embarrassing for humanity.

I agree Marianne. The over arching experience of the Oscars tonight was inspiring. Art and film can be so impactful, I don’t want the moment of a person losing their shit to define every other outstanding thing that we witnessed tonight. Lots to appreciate.

I'm surprised you're dismissing assault so easily, Marianne.

Exactly. And it would have been nice if we could have had a complete respite for a hour or two without any violence.

That slap was so hard you think Chris Rock was the man who cuckolded will smith.

This "incident" happend on live TV. A celebrity who laughed at a joke about his wife, then realised wifey didn't like joke, and then felt the need to slap the comedian. And this was portrayed as acceptable on live TV for everyone to see. Including our kids.
