I'm reading a biography of FDR at the same time that I'm watching the Gilded Age on Netflix. Fascinating how FDR - and America - transitioned from the first Gilded Age into a progressive era. And we can do it again. History is just repeating itself.

Great series, enjoy!
The Roosevelts on PBS was really well done. I watched a couple episodes twice.

I was just thinking about “a chicken in every pot”- who , next, will deliver that message? But most importantly who will deliver Peace to the world?

The progressive era didn’t solve anything with their “reforms” as much as they just created a new set of much greater problems down the line. Most of what people look back on as progressive reforms are things that were happening on their own organically through actual capitalism

Biden can still be the new FDR ... If he starts WWIII.

I think you’re not realizing how different this time is. Technology being the major game changer. I’m sorry but you seem out of touch lately

Is there a leader around someplace that can do it without being bought off?
