A wealth tax of 2% on over $50M & another 1% over $1B would never even be felt in the daily lives of those taxed. There is something so warped about trying to protect the wealth of those who already have so much, while voting to crush the opportunities of those who have so little

The same way I feel about sacrificing our infrastructure, in CA, via a gas tax rebate while prices continue 2 rise 2 satisfy Big Oil greed. The simple Californians just can’t see past their instant payday (alleged $400/vehicle/owner). What we must endure to feed the 💰💰💰lust!

You can't ignore the fact that our government will end up wasting or losing this money generated from this new tax. The government just admitted they lost billions in Covid funding.

Taxing wealth is not a good idea.. Tax Income, yes, but wealth? That's absurd.

Cause it will be easier to recruit their children for the army to wage wars. Otherwise how on earth could they find people to pull triggers and destroy lives of others whom these people have no animosity against. That’s why mathematically this calculation doesn’t make sense.

And those who have so little are still rooting for those who have so much to have even more… weird.

Question is how you discern their true wealth. Much of it is in stocks and held in owning private companies and real estate. To truly figure out wealth is quite an ordeal. Plus we all know whatever system is in place will have campaign donation funded loopholes.
