A wealth tax of 2% on over $50M & another 1% over $1B would never even be felt in the daily lives of those taxed. There is something so warped about trying to protect the wealth of those who already have so much, while voting to crush the opportunities of those who have so little

I like wealth tax but everyone should pay. Not just the rich. It should also be very low. 2-3% is way too much.

I'm not sure I like the idea. They would increase the military budget instead. I think taxes should be a flat 15%.

If this wealth tax was used solely to eliminate the national debt, it would make sense.

How about you put your money where your mouth is and give that percentage to the govt. every year! Stop trying to get other rich people to support your socialism and be the change you want to see!

I have never even heard the billionaires argue against additional taxation on them. They just hate it when the corrupt left politicians demonize them for being rich.

It depends on how you define “wealth.” It also depends on how useful you think taxes are. Why does your tax rate go down as wealth goes up? Shouldn’t your rates be the opposite for those wealth levels?
