A wealth tax of 2% on over $50M & another 1% over $1B would never even be felt in the daily lives of those taxed. There is something so warped about trying to protect the wealth of those who already have so much, while voting to crush the opportunities of those who have so little

Yes that鈥檚 perfect. And that money will be pissed a way in 10 minutes by a corrupt profligate government. Why isn鈥檛 always tax instead of quit spending?

Are you telling me the wealthy don't have to decide between the Little Caesar's $5 pizza over the good stuff down the street?

If you think a wealth tax will stop with the Billionaires, look at how the income tax has evolved. All your assets will eventually be subject. But I will own nothing and be happy, right?

Why do we care about how the greedy bastards feel? Tax wealth at 90% the way we used to. Why are we begging for 1%?

The wealthy have so much because they earned it and are not afraid to tax chances and to work hard. Why give their money to people who didn鈥檛 work hard and squandered what they had. Not the American way.

I think taxing a small amount of wealth to fund govt is not a good idea. You have to find a logical maximum wealth, somewhere around $50-100 million IMO. Then tax the excess at 100%. Having people with obscene wealth is a danger to democracy and the rule of law.
