Yes, but nonviolence requires that we inconvenience the system while remaining non-violent towards individuals. The Montgomery bus boycott did inconvenience individuals but the intent was to inconvenience the bus company itself. People were correct to criticize my lack of nuance.

Non-violence yes. But I disagree with your assessment. People are the system. Your correction from online pressure gets people off the hook. Interestingly enough @bariweiss speaks of this very specifically in her latest podcast @thehonestlypod.
